A very good website with game directions is www.gds.org/athletics/directions.cfm#c Or google the private school's name, go to their website to get their address and the directions they listed, then supplement by plugging the ERHS address 7601 Hanover Parkway 20770 and their address into mapquest. Here are directions from ERHS to: Notre Dame, Sandy Springs, Calverton, Heights, Q. Anne, Gunston, Maret at UDC, Bishop McNamara and Archbishop Carroll
Directions to ARCHBISHOP CARROLL HIGH SCHOOL Right on Greenbelt Road and follow to UMD. Left onto Adelphi Road. Continue across Route 410, as it becomes Queens Chapel Road, then Michigan Avenue in DC. Right onto Taylor Street NE, follow Taylor over bridge to top of hill. Slight Left onto Harewood Road at top of hill, school is in front of you, pull into driveway. (If you miss Taylor Avenue turn, continue on to Shrine and Catholic University. Turn right on Harewood, go to top of hill, school is on your left.) Directions to ARCHBISHOP SPAULDING HIGH SCHOOL Take Baltimore Washington Parkway (Rt. 295) or I-95 toward Baltimore from I-495. Proceed to Route 100 East toward Gibson Island. Stay on Route 100 to I-97. T ake I-97 South toward Annapolis to New Cut Road Exit 12 and turn right. The school will be on your right just opposite Papa John's Barn.
Directions to BISHOP McNAMARA HIGH SCHOOL Exit from the Beltway (I-95/495) at 11B (Rt 4/Pennsylvania Avenue, West). Go to the second light and turn right on Donnell Drive (you are between two shopping malls). At the end of Donnell Drive, turn left on Marlboro Pike. The school is on the right about a quarter of a mile, just before Mt. Calvary Church and School.
Directions to CALVERTON SCHOOL Turn right on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Southway and stay in right lane. Merge onto Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take second exit onto I-495 Beltway South toward Andrews AFB. Follow Beltway 11 miles to exit 11East (Pennsylvania Avenue, MD Route 4 South direction of Upper Marlboro). Take exit 11 and follow route 4 for ca. 30 miles total. Ca. 12 miles beyond the Calvert County line, you will pass through the small town of Huntington. On far side of town, look on left side for a white marquee school sign. Turn left into Calverton School Road and immediate right into school grounds. Drive to right behind red brick school and park. Playing field behind the school Driving time: ca. 1 hour.
Directions to GUNSTON DAY SCHOOL Turn right on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Southway and stay in right lane. Merge onto Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take second exit onto I-495 Beltway South toward Andrews AFB. Follow Beltway South and exit onto Route 50 East. Cross the Bay Bridge (Remember to bring money for toll.). Where Route 301 splits off from Route 50, take Route 301 north. Follow Route 301 to Route 213. Take Route 213 North to Centreville MD, where it becomes S. Commerce Street. Continue to Court House Green and Broadway. Take a left on Broadway, which ends at Chesterfield Avenue. Take a right on Chesterfield Avenue, which becomes Route 304. Follow Route 304 ca. l mile to North Hibernia Road on right and a sign pointing to Gunston Day School. Take right turn, and follow a short way to Gunston Road. Take a right on Gunston to campus entrance. 55 miles Driving time: 1 hour 20 minutes
Directions to The HEIGHTS SCHOOL Turn right on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Southway and stay in right lane. Merge onto Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take first exit onto I-495 Beltway North toward Silver Spring/Baltimore. Follow Beltway ca. 10 miles to exit 36 Old Georgetown Road/MD 187 North. Follow MD 187 to traffic light at Democracy Blvd, get in left lane. Turn left on Democracy Blvd, go 2 miles to Seven Locks Road. Turn right on Seven Locks Road. School is almost immediately on your left, watch for small sign, turn into drive and follow up to parking lot. 19 miles, Driving time ca. 30 minutes. Directions to INDIAN CREEK Take I-295 North toward Baltimore. Route 32 East toward NSA, Fort Meade, Annapolis Merge onto I-97 South to Annapolis. Take Exit 5 from I-97 (Route 178 to Crownsville). Turn right at the third light onto Crownsville Road. (Crownsville State Hospital is at the intersection and you can only turn right.) Follow Crownsville Road for 1-1/2 miles and Corridor Park is on the Right. Directions to MARET at UDC Because driving on the Beltway in rush hour is very unpredictable, I will give directions to take Riggs Road to Military Road to Connecticut Avenue. Right on Greenbelt Road and continue past UMD as it becomes University Blvd. Left on Riggs Road (Kentucky Fried Chicken on left) and into DC, continue straight as it becomes Missouri Avenue. Jog R and quick L as Missouri crosses Georgia Avenue and becomes Military Road. Cross Rock Creek Park on Military Road into NW, get in L lane. Left onto Nebraska Avenue (ff signs for Zoo). Left on Connecticut Avenue (Exxon gas station on left). Drive South on Connecticut. Right on Van Ness Street just beyond Metro Stop. UDC is on your right. Park and walk onto sports fields on the right.

GEORGETOWN DAY SCHOOL
(just added 4/19/07) Start out using the MARET directions. Then, continue on Military Road, NW - go 1.9 miles. Turn LEFT on Nebraska Avenue, NW - go 0.5 mi. Turn RIGHT on Fessenden Street, NW - go 0.6 miles. Turn LEFT on 42nd Street, NW - go 0.2 miles. Turn on Davenport Street, NW - go < 0.1 miles. Arrive at 4200 Davenport Street, NW, Washington, on the left.
Directions to
NOTRE DAME ACADEMY Turn right on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Southway and stay in right lane. Merge onto Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take first exit onto I-495 Beltway North toward Silver Spring/Baltimore. Follow Beltway into Virginia ca. 30 miles. Take exit 45A onto VA 267 West towards Dulles Airport (TOLL ROAD). Follow Dulles toll road 14.5 miles to VA 606 West exit 8 towards US route 50. Take a left onto Old Ox Road/VA 606 West and follow 6.3 miles. Right on John Mosby Highway/US 50 West and follow 15.9 miles. Take a right onto St. Louis Road and follow 0.9 mile. Take right onto Notre Dame Lane and go 0.l mile. (Alternate route is to take I-66 to VA. 626. Check a map for details.) Allow lots of driving time, this is a long way away!!!
DIRECTIONS TO QUEEN ANNE SCHOOL Turn right on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Southway and stay in right lane. Merge onto Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take second exit onto I-495 Beltway South toward Andrews AFB. Follow Beltway South to exit 15ARoute 214 East (Central Avenue). Drive 5 miles. Turn Right on Church Road South. Road dead ends at school. Pull into school drive, drive around to left of buildings. Fields behind school. Driving time: ca. 30 minutes.
DIRECTIONS TO SANDY SPRINGS FRIENDS SCHOOL Turn right on Greenbelt Road. Turn right on Southway and stay in right lane. Merge onto Baltimore Washington Parkway. Take first exit onto I-495 Beltway North toward Silver Spring/Baltimore. Follow Beltway to exit 28A White Oak/New Hampshire Avenue North. Follow New Hampshire Avenue North ca. 6.4 miles. Watch on left for golden dome of mosque and get in left lane. Turn Left on Norwood Road Route 182 and follow 2.5 miles. School is on the right, turn into drive and park immediately. Field is to your right. Ca. 30 driving time.
DIRECTIONS TO SPRING BROOK HS Turn right onto Greenbelt Road (193), Take BW Parkway toward DC (right onto Southway, right onto 295S), Quickly merge onto 495N, Capital Beltway towards Silver Spring, Take Exit 28A, New Hampshire (650 North) toward White Oak, 3.2 miles later turn left on Valley Brook Dr. |
